Q.  What if we don't work well together?

A.  There is a beginning period of 3 months that we must set up and work together.  There is always an easy out after the 3 months of service if you decide our company is not the right fit for your practice.

Q.  What are the benefits of using a clearinghouse vs. filing paper claims?

A.  A clearinghouse edits your claims to reduce rejection rates.  You receive an acknowledgement report within 24 hours of filing a chaim so that any rejected claims may be fixed and resubmitted immediately. Filing claims directly on paper is slower and you have to wait until you receive an EOB to find out if the claim(s) have been rejected.  You can also sign up for EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) and receive your EOBs electronically.

Q.  Do I still need to keep records at the office?

A.  Yes, all the original superbills or daysheets and patient demographics must be kept at your office in accordance with State and Federal Record Retention Laws.  MedOffice Solutions, must also retain copies in accordance with State and Federal Laws.  After the period of which the law allows, all documents by MedOffice Solutions, will be shredded.

 Q.  What do you need our office to send you to file a claim?

A.  Registration sheets, superbills with CPT and ICD-9 codes, daily deposit log sheet, and EOBs for claim payments.

Q.  How long does it take to get started?

A.  Usually within a week.  We will be able to set up your practice in our software system and clearinghouse.

Q.  Is MedOffice Solutions HIPAA Compliant?

A.  Our software and office are fully HIPAA Compliant.  We also check semi-annually if our clients are keeping up with the HIPAA regulations, because if they are not following regulations, we can not be compliant as well.  We make certain your office has all necessary forms to be HIPAA Compliant.

Q.  Do I have to change my software?

A.  No, as long as we are able to log in and process your claims properly.  Some software is not really HIPAA and ICD10 ready and we will not be able to do this.  Also if the software is out dated we will not be able to use it.  We want to make as little change to you as possible, but if something does not work, then we have to change it.
